Broadcaster Park Suhong and his wife Kim Da-ye threw their daughter Jae-yi a secret surprise party for her second birthday, transforming their home into a colorful party space while she was out with her grandparents.
The celebration was revealed on October 12 through a video posted on the couple’s YouTube channel ‘Park Suhong Happy DaHong,’ titled roughly “A surprise birthday party prepared behind Jae-yi’s back — mom and dad were even more nervous! A special day with the whole family,” according to a report by Herald Muse.
In the video, Kim Da-ye asked Jae-yi what she wanted for her birthday, and the little girl answered with various kinds of dolls. When asked whether she would also like a cake, Jae-yi replied, “Bear cake.”
While Jae-yi was out with her maternal grandfather and grandmother, Kim Da-ye secretly prepared the surprise at home. Park Suhong baked cookies for his daughter himself, adding the nuts Jae-yi likes and putting his heart into the batch. Colorful balloons, garlands and dolls placed throughout the house turned the home into a party venue.
When Jae-yi returned home and saw the decorations, she looked around and exclaimed “Wow,” appearing delighted, and later danced happily in the room filled with balloons and dolls.
The couple has been sharing family moments with their daughter on the channel, giving fans a look at their everyday life as parents.
