Shin Min-a will make her first television variety show appearance since marrying Kim Woo-bin on tvN’s “You Quiz on the Block” on Wednesday, October 28, opening up about their newlywed life as the couple approaches their first wedding anniversary.
According to News1, the actress returns to “You Quiz on the Block” for the first time in six years in episode 366, which airs at 8:45 p.m. on October 28. The appearance is her first TV variety outing since her marriage, and she shares reflections on married life and stories from her honeymoon with Kim Woo-bin.
In a preview for the episode, Shin Min-a describes what changed after marriage in a single line that has drawn wide attention: it feels like she now has a promised person on her side. She also offers a glimpse of the couple’s everyday routine at home, saying the phrase she says most often to Kim Woo-bin is “A package arrived,” while revealing that he often compliments her by saying, “You’re pretty.”
She also recounts a behind-the-scenes moment from the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards, where she felt nervous presenting the grand prize while Lee Kwang-soo, seated next to Kim Woo-bin, cheered loudly.
Shin Min-a and Kim Woo-bin married last December after a decade-long public relationship, a relationship that drew attention because they supported each other through difficult times, including Kim Woo-bin’s battle with cancer. The couple have also drawn praise for their philanthropy: Yoo Jae-suk noted on the show that their combined donations exceed 5 billion won, and Shin Min-a said she hopes her consistency encourages others to give as well.
The variety appearance comes just days before the premiere of her new Disney+ series “The Remarried Empress” on November 4. In the romantic fantasy epic, Shin Min-a plays Navier, the perfect empress of the Eastern Empire, who demands approval to remarry Prince Heinley, played by Lee Jong-suk, after Emperor Sovieshu, played by Ju Ji-hoon, seeks a divorce for runaway slave Rashta, played by Lee Se-young. Working with Ju Ji-hoon marks their third collaboration, following the drama “Mawang” and the film “Kitchen,” and the series trailer alone has recorded 11.7 million views.
