SHINee’s Minho has made a surprise special appearance in Netflix’s new romantic comedy series ‘Charge Me’ (나를 충전해줘), taking on the role of the fictional male lead written into Chae Soo-bin’s character’s script.
According to Xports News on October 12, Minho plays Lee Hyuk, the male protagonist of the drama script penned by Na Bo-bae, the character portrayed by Chae Soo-bin. His performance moves between the show’s reality and the world inside the script, heightening the drama’s immersion.
‘Charge Me’ centers on a man whose artificial heart battery has run out and a woman with electric abilities, billed as a “charge-as-pretext” romantic comedy. The series is adapted from a web novel of the same name. The report praised Minho’s handsome visuals and natural acting for selling the charm of the in-script character.
The appearance also marks a reunion for Minho and Chae Soo-bin, who previously co-starred in the Netflix series ‘The Fabulous.’ Minho has kept a steady acting career across film, television, and theater.
‘Charge Me,’ featuring Minho’s special appearance, is available to stream on Netflix.
