Jeon Seyeon, Boramiyu, Gureum, and Asia De Saleh Featured in Kin's Lounge's First Week of October New Release Picks cover

Kin’s Lounge has named its first-week-of-October picks, spotlighting new releases from singer-songwriters Jeon Seyeon, Boramiyu, and Gureum, plus an upcoming single from Berlin-based Asia de Saleh.

According to Xports News, the picks were announced on October 12 by Kin’s Lounge, the new-music showcase run by the Korean Music Label Industry Association, which spotlights noteworthy Korean label releases each week.

Jeon Seyeon, a rookie singer-songwriter under Innext Trend (Long Play Music), released “Blue Season” on October 1. The rock-based, upbeat track captures the flutter of falling in love and launches her “season” concept project, with more seasonal songs to follow.

Boramiyu of Showfar Entertainment released “나를 건 미래에 우린” on October 5. Written by Boramiyu and co-composed and arranged with Lee Jong-hoon, the single reflects on a weary summer and choosing her own happiness first, with the B-side “눈부신 계절을 달려” looking back at a past love with warmth.

Gureum of Mound Media (Tapes) dropped the five-track EP “MENDING PROCESS” on October 6, writing, composing, and arranging every song herself. The EP traces the process of mending oneself while carrying feelings left over from people who hurt her but could never be fully hated.

Asia de Saleh closes with “Yeongwon,” due October 30 — a Korean-language version of her song “Ewigkeit” about lasting love and freedom. It is the first collaboration between Germany’s HAUS2000 and Seoul’s AUDIOGUY, with a Dolby Atmos mix by SOUND360.

Four distinct sounds in one month: a solid snapshot of this fall’s Korean label music.
