Son Suk-ku and Park Bo-young Confirmed to Star in Fantasy Rom-com 'Kiss For Tomorrow'

Son Suk-ku and Park Bo-young have been confirmed as the leads of the upcoming fantasy romantic comedy “Kiss for Tomorrow,” with the casting announced on November 2. Filming began on October 31, according to reports, putting the new pairing into production almost immediately after the announcement.

The film follows Ji-Kyeong, played by Son, a devoted husband who deeply loves his bright and lively wife, Oh Sung, played by Park. Their marriage carries a mysterious condition: the couple must share a kiss each day to reach the next day. During a cruise trip, the pair are unexpectedly separated and must search desperately for each other, setting up a story that blends romance, fantasy and separation.

Director Kang Hyung-chul is at the helm. Kang has reportedly said he will work hard to deliver an enjoyable film for audiences. The film is set against the backdrop of a large cruise ship, with filming locations including South Korea, Singapore and Thailand. AsianWiki lists Next Entertainment World as the distributor and 2027 as the release year, although no exact release date has been given in the reports reviewed. The Korean title is “Neowa Hamggeramyeon,” literally translated as “If I Am With You.”

The project marks the first on-screen pairing of Son and Park, a combination that gives the film an immediate talking point before any footage has been released. It also reunites Park with Kang 18 years after “Scandal Makers,” a connection that links the new film to one of the director’s best-known early successes. Kang’s filmography also includes “Sunny,” “Hi-5,” “Tazza: The Hidden Card” and “Swing Kids,” a range spanning comedy, drama and large-scale entertainment.

With cameras already rolling, the next details to watch are the supporting cast and a firmer release schedule. For now, the confirmed leads, the daily-kiss premise and the cruise setting give “Kiss for Tomorrow” a clear identity as a fantasy romance built around a married couple fighting to find their way back to each other.
