Actress Son Tae-young has offered fans a warm peek into her family life in New Jersey, including a rare glimpse of how much her 11-year-old daughter Ri-ho has grown.
According to TenAsia, the update came from a video posted on October 11 to Son’s YouTube channel, “Mrs. New Jersey Son Tae-young.” The crew visited her New Jersey home for a first-ever fridge reveal and caught up on her two children, son Rook-hee and daughter Ri-ho.
Ri-ho, who appeared from behind in the video, drew attention with her long arms and legs. The crew remarked that she seems to have inherited her mother’s Miss Korea-era looks. When asked how tall her daughter has gotten, Son admitted, “I don’t know how many centimeters.”
On son Rook-hee, Son said he stays busy with academy classes and soccer practice. “I told him to handle his schedule himself,” she said, adding that his soccer times change often and he drives himself around, so she no longer checks exactly when he gets home.
Son also shared a classic mom moment, laughing that Ri-ho goes to school looking like she is headed to fashion school — and always asks for something five minutes before leaving. “I told her to tell me in advance,” she said. With Ri-ho still young, Son said her own free time is limited to “five hours in the morning.”
Son Tae-young married actor Kwon Sang-woo in 2008. The couple has two children, Rook-hee and Ri-ho, and has been living in New Jersey in the United States for the children’s education.
