&TEAM Wins Two Awards at MTV VMAJ 2026 for Performance of the Year and Best Asia Song cover

&TEAM has taken home two prizes at the MTV Video Music Awards Japan 2026, during a busy run of Korean promotions and a new Japan tour.

The group attended the ceremony on October 29 at Tokyo Dome, where it won Performance of the Year and Best Asia Song, according to Korean outlet AtStyle. Performance of the Year is a special award presented to an artist, while Best Asia Song went to the title track of &TEAM’s first Korean mini album, “Back to Life.”

In their acceptance remarks, the members said they had worked hard to show good music and performances to the world and were happy to receive the awards. They thanked their fans, LUNÉ, and said they would do their best to become a group that LUNÉ can be proud of. They added that having their honed performances recognized was especially gratifying, and that the win would strengthen their future activities.

&TEAM also performed at the ceremony, staging “Back to Life” and “Good Boy,” a track from their second Korean mini album, “Mark on Me.” The report said the two performances were built around group choreography and hip-hop-based movement, with each stage matched to the mood of its song.

The awards cap a notable stretch for the group in Korea. “Back to Life” marked &TEAM’s Korean debut as a mini album, and the follow-up, “Mark on Me,” has kept the group in active promotion. The second mini album also reached No. 20 on the Billboard 200 chart dated October 10.

MTV VMAJ, the Japanese edition of MTV’s Video Music Awards, began in 2002. The double win is notable because the two prizes recognize different things: one honored the group’s stagecraft in general, while the other singled out a specific Korean title track for its impact across Asia. Together, “Back to Life” and “Mark on Me” mark two consecutive steps in the same Korean push, with the first introducing &TEAM to Korean listeners and the second carrying that momentum to major stages such as Tokyo Dome.

Looking ahead, &TEAM is already on the road, having begun its 2026-2027 concert tour, “Mark on You,” in Tokyo on October 15 and 16, and the tour is scheduled to run through January across 18 cities in Japan, for a total of 41 shows. No further statement about additional award-related activities was available at the time of reporting.
