Bang Si Hyuk Pursues 4.2 Billion Won Loan Lawsuit Against Min Hee Jin Over 2023 ADOR Share Purchase cover

HYBE chairman Bang Si Hyuk is pursuing a civil lawsuit against former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, seeking the return of 4.21 billion won in loans, according to a Biz Korea report cited by DailyAhn on October 17.

Bang filed for a payment order in April, and the court granted it in May. Min objected to the order in July, converting the case into a formal civil lawsuit that is now proceeding through the courts.

The claim traces back to 2023, when Min borrowed 3.7 billion won from Bang to purchase ADOR shares, according to the report.

Min’s side has pushed back by pointing to the separate put option dispute with HYBE. Her representatives said the loan is “a matter that will naturally be offset and settled once the main lawsuit is finalized,” arguing that it is contradictory for HYBE to demand repayment of the loan while it is contesting a first-instance ruling ordering it to pay roughly 25.6 billion won in put option proceeds.

The loan case adds another front to the protracted legal battle between the two sides, which continues to play out in court.
