Dancer BATA, leader of the We Dem Boyz crew, will marry actress Ji Ye-eun on December 12 — a date that is also his own birthday, Korean outlets reported.
The couple’s wedding preparations were revealed on MBC’s “Omniscient Interfering View” (episode 420), which aired October 17, where BATA appeared alongside fellow crew leader In-gyu to share a look at his daily life just two months before the ceremony.
BATA said he has been taking one-on-one cooking lessons for his bride-to-be, explaining that “being a good husband” has long been his dream and that he wanted to make healthy food for her. He cooked cabbage pancakes and pasta — dishes he often prepares for her — while talking about her nonstop, according to Starnews and TenAsia. Both born in 1994, the pair reportedly first met at dancer Gabi’s birthday party and grew close through church before they started dating.
On the show, BATA spoke directly to Ji Ye-eun: “Thank you for trusting me and staking your life on me.” He also recalled proposing with a Tiffany ring at her home and shared stories from a trip to his parents’ house in Chungju ahead of the wedding.
BATA is the choreographer behind global K-pop hits including JENNIE’s “like JENNIE” and G-DRAGON’s “POWER.” In-gyu offered to sing a congratulatory song — rather than perform the expected dance — at the wedding, drawing laughter from the studio.
