Comedian Kim In-seok has revealed that he and his wife Angela Park ended their marriage about two years ago, announcing the divorce on his personal social media on October 9.
According to the OSEN report, Kim said he had spent a long time deciding how to share the news. “About two years ago, I accepted the decision to end our relationship as a married couple and go our separate ways,” he wrote. He added that although the marriage ends here, they will do their best for their children and be good parents together.
Kim explained why he stayed silent for so long. He needed time to accept the reality himself, and he hadn’t told even his close acquaintances in advance. “I feel sorry toward the family, relatives and close friends who are learning this for the first time through this post,” he said.
Support from fellow comedians poured in after the announcement. Park Joon-hyung commented, “My brother… from now on, only a flower path ahead.” Kim Young-hee wrote, “Always cheering for you, sunbaenim!” while Hong Yoon-hwa, Heo Anna, Lee Sang-ho, Son Heon-soo, Hwang Young-jin and Yoon Sung-ho all left similar messages of encouragement.
Kim married Angela Park, six years his junior, in November 2014 after five months of dating. A former Miss Korea Hawaii winner (2008), Angela Park appeared on EBS English programs. The couple share two sons; Kim said in a 2023 YouTube appearance that he was living as a “goose father,” shuttling between Korea and his family abroad.
Kim closed by saying he hopes to make a fresh start and greet the public with a happier face. No further details about the divorce were shared.
