Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth are heading to Korea this December for Marvel’s “Avengers: Doomsday,” joined by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige, Walt Disney Company Korea confirmed on November 6.

The trio will arrive in Korea on December 7, a little over a week before the film opens in theaters on December 16. During the visit, the three will take part in a press conference and a red carpet event, meeting Korean press and fans as part of the film’s promotional tour.

For Evans, the trip marks his first visit to Korea for a Marvel film in 11 years, since “Avengers: Age of Ultron” in 2015. He played Steve Rogers, the first Captain America, from “Captain America: The First Avenger” through “Avengers: Endgame” in 2019, becoming one of the defining heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Hemsworth, who has played Thor, is making his first visit to Korea for a Marvel film. He previously came to the country last year to shoot season two of the Disney+ original series “Chris Hemsworth: Limitless,” and the new trip will give him a closer chance to spend time with Korean fans.

Feige, who has built the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s sprawling world since “Iron Man” and overseen its run of global box office hits, joins the visit, adding weight to the promotional trip.

“Avengers: Doomsday,” directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, who helmed the previous “Avengers” films, pits Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom against the Avengers, including Thor, Steve Rogers, Captain America played by Anthony Mackie, and Black Panther played by Letitia Wright.

The December 7 visit is the film’s main Korean promotional stop ahead of its December 16 opening, with the press conference and red carpet giving Korean fans their first chance to see the film’s stars in person.
