Chef Jung Ji Sun, the Netflix âCulinary Class Warsâ star known as the âQueen of Dim Sum,â has announced an indefinite halt to new uploads on her YouTube channel after two years.
According to a report by Sports Chosunâs Lee Ji Hyun, a lengthy notice posted on October 21 under the names of Jung and her production team announced that the channel âJung Ji Sunâs Kal-issumaâ would take a break. âIt seems difficult to bring you new videos for the time being,â the team wrote, adding that they hoped the note âwould not be the last goodbyeâ but could not carelessly promise when they would return.
The notice gave no specific reason for the pause and no return date. âFor now, we need to slow down, look back on the time we have spent, and prepare for the time ahead,â the team said, thanking viewers for laughing and talking together over the past two years.
Jung opened the channel in August 2024, sharing recipes, collaborations with fellow chefs, family stories, and daily vlogs. It now has about 164,000 subscribers and around 430 videos, with her âCulinary Class Warsâ content drawing 800,000 to 1 million views per video at its peak.
Fans responded with messages of support, saying they would wait for her return and believed she would be back one day.
Whether Jung returns to YouTube soon remains open â for now, the channel rests as a library of two years of work.
