K-Drama Festival 2026 is heading to Japan this November, bringing highlight screenings, original soundtrack concerts and guest talks to Tokyo on November 19 and 20 and Osaka on November 24 and 25. NewsEn reported the lineup, which runs from Descendants of the Sun to Taxi Driver 3, pairing classic hits with recent series in a single festival program.
The Tokyo program opens on November 19 with singer K.Will, who will take part in highlight screenings of Descendants of the Sun and The Beauty Inside, an original soundtrack concert and a talk. K.Will sang the Descendants of the Sun soundtrack song in 2016 and the Beauty Inside soundtrack song in 2018, according to the report, giving the opening night a direct link between the screen and the stage.
On November 20, the Tokyo program splits into two parts. The first pairs a highlight screening of For Eagle Brothers with a talk featuring Shinhwa member Kim Dong-wan and director Choi Sang-yeol. The second turns to Taxi Driver 3, with a highlight screening followed by a guest talk with actor Bae Yu-ram and BA Entertainment producer Jang Won-seok.
Osaka opens on November 24 with Secret Garden and Take Care of the Young Lady, in a program of highlight screenings, an original soundtrack concert and a talk with actor Yoon Sang-hyun and singer Monday Kiz. On November 25, the first part features The Woman Who Swallowed the Sun with actor Oh Chang-seok, while the second part presents Thank You with actors Hong In and Lee Joong-ok.
Admission to all performances is free, with entry decided by advance application followed by a lottery. Applications have been open since October 21 at 6 p.m., and some performances will also offer a post-show high-five event with guests, giving fans a brief meeting moment after the program ends.
The breadth of the lineup is the festival’s main draw. By placing long-running audience favorites alongside a recent hit such as Taxi Driver 3, the program is built around watching, listening and talking in one space, rather than screenings alone. That mix lets longtime viewers revisit the dramas that shaped the Korean wave in Japan, while newer viewers can meet the current series in the same visit.
No official statement with additional remarks was included in the reports. For now, the next step for interested fans is the lottery draw ahead of the November dates in Tokyo and Osaka.
