TWICE’s Nayeon has confirmed her solo comeback. The singer will release her new single album, “NA-sty,” on November 20, marking her first solo release in about two years and five months.
JYP Entertainment announced the plan, saying, “On November 20, Nayeon will release her new single album ‘NA-sty’ and make a comeback as a solo artist.” The agency also unveiled a logo motion video on its official social media channels. According to Sports Kyunghyang, the single will be released on online music platforms at 2 p.m. KST on November 20.
The album title carries a deliberate double meaning. “NA-sty” combines “Nayeon’s style” and the idea of being true to herself with a playful twist on the English word “nasty,” Sports Kyunghyang reported. The logo motion video uses a screensaver-style animation in which an angel ring and wing-shaped icons change colour, a motif that also appears in the first teaser, titled “CAPTIVATED MODE: ON,” revealed on October 23.
Through the new single, Nayeon is set to show both sides of her appeal: her signature bright and lovely charm, and a bolder, more outspoken side.
The announcement firms up a plan that was previously only tentative. Earlier reports in October said Nayeon was preparing a solo comeback targeted for late November, but gave no confirmed date, title, or format. The new announcement supplies all three. For fans who have waited since her last solo release, the shift from a tentative window to a concrete release day is the real news.
Nayeon’s solo record gives the comeback a high bar to clear. She launched her solo career in June 2022 with her first mini album, “IM NAYEON,” led by the title track “POP!,” which reached No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and placed on 18 Billboard charts in total. Her second mini album, “NA,” released in June 2024 with the title track “ABCD,” extended that run with a second consecutive Billboard 200 top 10 entry and placements on 13 Billboard charts.
Much of her solo work so far has arrived in summer, earning her a reputation as a summer-season favourite. A late-autumn release on November 20 therefore breaks her usual pattern, testing whether her appeal carries across seasons. With the teaser rollout already under way, “NA-sty” is now one of the most closely watched solo comebacks of the autumn.
