Epik High and Davichi have joined forces, releasing their first-ever collaboration single “Mise-en-Scene” (“미장센”) on October 13 at 6 PM KST via major streaming platforms.
According to the original MBC Entertainment News report, the pairing drew attention even before release — Epik High, a pillar of the Korean hip-hop scene, meets Davichi, the vocal duo beloved for emotional voices and a string of hits.
The collaboration was sparked by Epik High’s YouTube content “EPIKASE (에픽카세)”. The two acts showed comfortable chemistry on the show last October, and the connection grew into real studio work, giving the project extra meaning as their first collaboration.
“Mise-en-Scene” paints the moment of accepting a breakup and the story tangled inside it, like a scene from a movie. Delicate lyrics capture the farewell moment, while Epik High’s narrative flow and Davichi’s deep vocals raise the immersion. A synth sound opens the track, and the melody blends the two acts’ distinct colors — hip-hop, ballad, and rock — into a nostalgic yet fresh mood.
Epik High’s rap and Davichi’s vocals alternate and hand off the emotional current, which the report highlights as a key listening point. No official statement was available.
Both acts are gearing up for solo concerts at KSPO DOME after the release. Davichi holds solo concerts on December 12 and 13, while Epik High takes the stage from January 22 to 24, 2027 — their first KSPO DOME solo concert since debut, leaving fans curious what they will show on their own stages.
