Magazine OhBoy! opened its charity culture festival UNSELF 2026 on October 24 at Anthracite in Hapjeong, Seoul, running through October 25. The two-day event is built around the theme “a day when spending for myself becomes giving for someone,” with all proceeds going to abandoned animal rescue and environmental protection.
Twenty-eight celebrities are taking part, including actors Choi Kang-hee, Lee El, Jung Hae-in, Lee Soo-hyuk and Nam Yoon-su, plus singers Lee Jang-won, Bae Da-hae and Fromm. They donated their personal belongings to a “collection donation market” and are working shifts as one-day staff at the lucky-bag sales booths, meeting visitors in person.
Visitors can also try screen-printing their own UNSELF t-shirts, enter a giveaway for refurbished Fujifilm digital cameras, and take family portraits with their pets. Talk sessions with veterinarian Yoon Hong-jun on pet loss and on coexisting with stray cats are on the program, alongside an exhibition by 11 artists and live music performances.
An OhBoy! representative said, “UNSELF goes beyond simply consuming and enjoying — it is a special experience where enjoyable consumption turns into a warm helping hand for neglected animals and the Earth,” adding that a volunteer crew of participating celebrities and staff will continue the effort at animal shelters after the festival.
UNSELF has drawn a cumulative 10,000 visitors over the past three years. The festival runs from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on October 24 and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on October 25, with free entry and no age limit. Sponsors include Fujifilm, Hwadam ENT and Anthracite.
