Kim Seung-soo and Song Jong-ho joined the matchmaking on the October 11 SBS broadcast of “My Little Old Boy” — and both men picked the same woman.
According to SBS Entertainment News, the two actors took part in the show’s “합숙 맞선” (group dating retreat) with two female guests.
Kim Seung-soo’s mother Choi In-sook pitched her son: born in 1971, he passed the MBC open talent audition in one try and now runs a restaurant business. Song Jong-ho’s mother noted her son is five years younger — and that he went over three years without acting work, now rebuilding with a meat restaurant.
The female guests: Park Hye-yeon (born 1987), a 15-year freelance announcer seeking humor and a love of travel; and Min Ji-su (born 1991), who studied in China and now handles VIP protocol and presenter work at a large company — praised by her father as “pretty and beautiful like a jewel,” and owns a cozy Seoul home.
When the men made their picks, both chose Min Ji-su — a unanimous vote that stunned the studio. She dated Kim Seung-soo first, then Song Jong-ho; host Seo Jang-hoon noted her expression looked different with him. Asked whom he had hoped would vote for him, he said he had hoped for her. She admitted she had hoped someone specific would pick her — but kept the name secret, smiling.
No official statement from either actor’s side was available; whether the sparks lead anywhere plays out in upcoming episodes.
