tvN’s 20th anniversary special weekend drama “100 Days Of Lies” has released new stills ahead of Episode 2, and the fallout from the failed assassination is landing squarely on Kim Yoo-jung’s character.
According to KBS Entertainment’s original report, the stills show Lee Ga-kyung (Kim Yoo-jung) surrounded by police officers, fear on her face, while Sato Hideo — also known as Kim Tae-woong (Park Jin-young) — stands across from her holding a gun. The shattered window behind them tells of the fierce battle that just took place.
The photos pick up where Episode 1 left off: a man disguised as a cake deliveryman took Ga-kyung hostage to approach Sato Hideo. With the gunman holding her, Ga-kyung whispers toward Hideo, “Help me… Assassination,” exposing the attacker’s true identity.
Another still shows Ga-kyung collapsing after escaping Yoo So-ran’s (Kim Hyun-joo) house. Hideo watches her with distrust and anger — the pickpocket who stole his wallet at Gyeongseong Station is now inside the household of the man who invited his father.
In Episode 2, Yoo So-ran, whose plan to assassinate Sato Shinichi (Jin Sun-kyu) failed, recalls her past and reveals the identity of Geum Seok-jung (Kam Woo-sung). Meanwhile, the Japanese colonial administration chases Geum while probing the independence group Gugukdan.
The production team teased: “Ga-kyung gets entangled in an unexpected incident and faces a crisis. Ga-kyung, now a subject of suspicion — neither pickpocket nor house guest — will become Gugukdan’s spy.”
Episode 2 airs tonight on tvN at 9:10 PM KST.
