K-pop’s latest reverse-run success story is heading to the newsroom. Girl group RESCENE, whose “LOVE ATTACK” unexpectedly climbed back up the charts, dropped by the SBS 8 News studio for a segment set to air tonight.
According to SBS’s own announcement, the members gasped in amazement at a large LED screen displaying their photos near the studio entrance before signing a giant bromuide and walking in for the recording.
There was also a celebration on set: member Liv, whose birthday is around now, was surprised with a cake just before filming, and the studio reportedly filled with laughter.
The segment is billed as RESCENE’s candid, heartfelt stories — shared while the group is gearing up for a comeback — with the full interview airing on tonight’s edition of SBS 8 News.
“LOVE ATTACK” turned RESCENE into one of this year’s rare reverse-chart breakouts, a track that found its audience after release rather than on it.
Tonight’s broadcast should offer the first concrete hints about what’s next for the group. No further details were disclosed in the announcement.
