LE SSERAFIMâs âBOOMPALAâ has surpassed 100 million streams on Spotify, becoming the groupâs 18th song to reach that milestone, according to a report by Sports Kyunghyang published via Naver on October 28.
As of October 25, the track had recorded 100,038,193 streams on the global audio streaming platform. Released on May 22 as the title track of the groupâs second full album, âBOOMPALAâ reached the mark in about five months.
The song carries a message that fear can be an illusion shaped by perspective and attitude, and turns that realization into a starting point for positive change. Its sound samples the global hit âMacarena,â giving the track both strong addictiveness and familiarity, while its point choreography, built around crossing both arms, was designed so that anyone can easily follow the performance.
âBOOMPALAâ also made an early mark in the United States, reaching No. 10 on Billboardâs Bubbling Under Hot 100 chart dated June 6. The title itself is a word created for the song rather than a word found in a dictionary, and its lyrics use it like a spell that encourages listeners to think about everything in a positive direction.
The new milestone adds to a deep Spotify catalogue for the five-member group, which consists of Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha and Hong Eunchae. Sports Kyunghyangâs tally puts âANTIFRAGILEâ at 700 million streams, âPerfect Nightâ and âCRAZYâ at 500 million, and âSmartâ at 400 million, with âEASY,â âFEARLESS,â âUNFORGIVEN (feat. Nile Rodgers),â âEve, Psyche & the Bluebeardâs Wifeâ and âSPAGHETTI (feat. j-hope of BTS)â at 300 million. That context matters because âBOOMPALAâ is not an isolated streaming hit: it extends a run in which the group has repeatedly turned title tracks and album songs alike into long-lasting global streaming songs.
No official statement from the group was quoted in the report. The timing also lines up with a busy touring schedule: the group was set to wrap its â2026 LE SSERAFIM TOUR âPUREFLOWâ IN UK & EUROPEâ in Berlin on October 26 local time, before starting the Asia leg in Macau on November 7 and 8. Its Taipei concerts on November 14 and 15 have already sold out both dates, so the Spotify milestone arrives just as the group heads into its next run of live shows.
