Moon Geun-young couldn’t hide her admiration for a good-looking contestant on SBS’ music survival show ‘Our Ballad 2’ — joking that she wouldn’t let her husband watch the performance.
According to the original report by MyDaily, the moment happened during filming for the episode airing October 12 at 10 p.m. KST, as contestants with varied backgrounds — from a Texas-educated teen to a soldier performing for his unit’s honor — took the stage.
The singer who stole the judges’ hearts combined striking looks with a relaxed stage presence, performing songs spanning generations, from Lee Sang-eun’s 1993 classic ‘Someday’ to Yudabin Band’s 2019 track ‘High Fever.’
Watching him perform, Moon kept smiling and quipped, ‘I’m not letting my husband watch this,’ openly showing her fan side. Co-judge Joo Woo-jae was equally impressed, exclaiming, ‘Do you want to see someone go crazy?’ Self-proclaimed ‘visual balladeers’ Roy Kim and Jung Seung-hwan joked that it’s hard to be recognized for talent over looks, drawing laughter from the studio.
Moon, known for ‘Autumn in My Heart,’ ‘Painter of the Wind,’ ‘Hellbound 2’ and ‘My Little Bride,’ announced in July that she had married musical actor Jung Pyung, seven years her senior. Joo Woo-jae, who debuted as a model, is a variety regular on ‘Hangout with Yoo.’
