Nam Yoon-su Makes Screen Debut in 'Killing Time,' Says Filming a Thriller in an Abandoned Hospital Felt Comforting cover

Nam Yoon-su says his first movie role is equal parts thrilling and terrifying. The actor spoke to reporters after the press screening of ‘Killing Time’ at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall in Seoul on October 13, where he addressed his screen debut head-on.

“I feel nervous and also scared,” Nam said when asked how he felt about the upcoming release, according to NewsEn. Watching the finished film, he admitted to some regrets. “Since it’s my first movie, I thought I gave it my all — but later I found myself thinking I could have filmed it more enjoyably, shown a cooler side of myself.”

Tackling the thriller genre for the first time, Nam said he was surprisingly at ease. “My heart actually felt more comfortable.” The cast grew closer, he explained, swapping scary stories while waiting together on set — including rumors that someone had seen a real ghost.

The abandoned hospital location did its share of the work. “The space itself gave an overwhelming pressure,” he said. “It was a great place to immerse myself. Just standing still gave me a chilling feeling.”

‘Killing Time,’ directed by Jang Jun-yeop, opens in theaters on October 21. It follows an internet broadcast crew, also called Killing Time, that lost everything in an accident and heads to an abandoned hospital to stage a comeback — only to be attacked by a mysterious entity. The survivors must fight back in a time-attack thriller against a merciless assailant.
