Park Ha-sun Bids Farewell to 'Park Ha-sun's Cine Town' After Six Years as Radio DJ cover

Park Ha-sun is saying goodbye to radio. The actress is stepping down from SBS Power FM’s “Park Ha-sun’s Cine Town” after nearly six years as the program’s DJ, closing a chapter that began in November 2020.

The farewell was shared on October 29 through the show’s official social media account, which posted photos from Park’s final recording session alongside a message of thanks. “Thank you to all the Terius who have been with Cine Town,” the post read, using the show’s nickname for its listeners. “Please continue to give lots of love to Candy, who will come back with good projects. Today, like a movie.” The photos showed Park holding a bouquet and blowing out candles on a cake.

Park shared her own farewell as well. On her personal account, she wrote that the Sunday recording was her final episode, adding with characteristic humor that she had worked hard over the past six years. The lighthearted tone fit the warm, down-to-earth style listeners have come to associate with her on air.

According to Sports Chosun’s report, Park’s final broadcast will air on November 2, with the recorded Sunday episode serving as her last show. Park was selected as the program’s DJ in November 2020, and her departure comes after roughly six years of weekday mornings spent talking film, music, and everyday life with her audience. Reports indicate that she decided to step down after discussions with the production team, in order to focus more on her acting career.

That focus makes sense given how Park has balanced her schedule. Alongside her radio work, she has continued to act across drama, theater, and variety. On radio, she cultivated a different side of herself: a calm, friendly host who spoke openly about her daily life, earning the affectionate nickname “Candy” among listeners.

“Park Ha-sun’s Cine Town” itself has a long history. The SBS Power FM movie program has been on air since 1999, airing daily from 11 a.m. to noon. Park’s six-year tenure is a significant stretch in that history, and her departure leaves a gap: a successor has not yet been officially confirmed.

No official statement from SBS about the next DJ was available at the time of reporting. What is clear is that Park intends to return through her acting work, and her farewell asked fans to keep supporting her as she comes back with good projects.
