Rapper Yang Hong-won has officially denied allegations that he cheated on his wife, former model Won Hyun-joo, just five days after the couple’s wedding.
The rumors surfaced on October 23, when a person identified as “A” posted on social media: “A newlywed groom who just got married went to a motel with a woman. Is that not wrong?” The accuser also shared a screenshot of a direct message sent to Won, along with a transcript and recording of a phone call with Yang from the previous day.
According to the materials A released, the caller brought up a trip to Suwon and said they needed “spending money,” while Yang responded, “Don’t do anything bad,” and asked whether they had attended his wedding before sighing. A also posted a video allegedly filmed during the Suwon trip, teasing further revelations. During an Instagram Live broadcast, A openly admitted the motive, saying “I want attention plus money” and leaving it up to viewers to judge whether the claims were true.
Yang’s side pushed back with an official statement denying the affair claims outright: “Went to a motel, but no intimate acts; the accuser’s deliberate fabrication,” Sports Chosun reported.
Yang and Won married in Seoul on October 18, roughly two years after welcoming a daughter in November 2024. Reports added that witnesses came forward backing Yang’s account, while the accuser’s social media account has since been deleted. Whether the dispute ends here remains to be seen.
