Seo In Young has set the date for her wedding: December 26.
According to MBC Entertainment, the singer revealed the date in a video posted to her personal channel on November 4. In the video, she told the production staff, “I’m getting married on the 26th. Keep your schedule open,” catching them by surprise.
The report says the December 26 date is a new detail. When Seo previously discussed her remarriage preparations, no wedding date had been made public, making this announcement the first concrete date attached to the upcoming ceremony.
Seo also outlined how this wedding will differ from her last one. She said singer Lyn, who performed the congratulatory song at her previous wedding, and her fellow Jewelry members will attend this time, but the congratulatory song itself has been dropped. “I took out the congratulatory song. I won’t do anything like that,” she said, according to the report.
The flower decorations are also gone. Seo noted that the 100 million won flower display that drew attention at her previous wedding has been removed as well. “I removed all the bad memories,” she said, framing the stripped-back plans as a deliberate break from the past.
The update follows a long road back to the altar. Seo announced in June that she was preparing for remarriage. She had previously married in 2023 and divorced a year later, a history she has discussed openly in recent videos.
Beyond her personal life, Seo has been rebuilding her music career. She debuted in 2002 as a member of Jewelry, launched her solo career in earnest with her first solo album in 2007, and cemented her standing as a solo star with her 2008 hit “Cinderella.” This year alone, she performed at Waterbomb Sokcho in August, reunited on stage with her Jewelry bandmates in September, and, as of late October, was reported to be preparing a new solo album, her first major solo project since 2018.
For now, the December 26 date is the firmest detail available. The report did not share a venue or a wider guest list, leaving those details for Seo to reveal as the wedding approaches.
