Disney+ has released new “romance spark” stills for “The Remarried Empress” on October 16, raising the stakes for the fantasy romance drama’s November 4 premiere, Star News reported.
The stills capture the four central figures whose clashing desires upend the imperial court. Shin Min-a stars as Navier, the perfect empress of the Eastern Empire, while Lee Se-young plays Rashta, the runaway slave who wins Emperor Sovieshu’s (Ju Ji-hoon) heart. After Sovieshu informs Navier of his intention to divorce her, she accepts on one condition: he approves her remarriage to Heinley, the prince of the Western Kingdom played by Lee Jong-suk.
According to the report, the newly released images show a new coldness between the long-married Navier and Sovieshu, alongside deepening affection in the emperor’s gaze toward Rashta. At a banquet, Navier is seen clutching her hands as stunned onlookers watch, while another still freezes a sword-drawn confrontation between Sovieshu and Heinley. A garden meeting between Navier and Rashta highlights their contrasting positions — the empress defending her place and the favored former slave dreaming of a new life.
No official statement was available beyond the stills release. “The Remarried Empress” premieres exclusively on Disney+ on November 4.
