T-ARA's Soyeon Announces Pregnancy with First Child, a Son, on Fourth Wedding Anniversary cover

Former T-ARA member Soyeon has announced that she is pregnant with her first child, sharing the happy news with fans on her fourth wedding anniversary.

Soyeon revealed the pregnancy herself on November 1 through her social media, telling followers that she wanted to mark the milestone day with “precious and joyful news.” Alongside the announcement, she shared ultrasound photos, confirming that the baby on the way is a boy. In hashtags accompanying the post, she described herself as a “sheep-year mom” and a “boy mom,” while a separate report added that the baby’s prenatal nickname is “Power.”

“I am excited to share such precious and joyful news on our fourth wedding anniversary,” Soyeon wrote, according to SPOTV News. “Our baby will soon be born. Actually, I have been living with a waddling belly.” She also shared photos of Cho kissing her belly, and a clip of him studying up on fatherhood.

The announcement carried a deeply personal backstory. Soyeon explained that the couple had spent four years working toward a second World Cup for Cho after his first tournament, only for the dream to take a painful turn. She said Cho had earned a place on the final roster for the 2026 World Cup, but was injured in a pre-tournament match in the United States and had to return home alone.

“We were getting through the biggest trial of my husband’s life as a player together, when God gave us a precious life on a day we never expected,” she wrote. “I think it was a miracle.” She added that since learning of the pregnancy, she and her husband have spent each day in gratitude, enjoying life with their unborn child.

Soyeon and Cho, who is nine years younger than her, registered their marriage in 2022. Cho later moved to a club in the United Arab Emirates league in 2024, and the couple have since been based in Dubai. The announcement closes a four-year chapter that began with their wedding and ran through Cho’s World Cup journey.

Soyeon closed on a warm note, saying she hopes to live gratefully with her “kind and sincere husband,” their son, and their beloved pets. No due date has been shared publicly so far.
