Watch: Jung Yong Hwa and Hong Seung Hee Preview Unpredictable Romance in Third "Oh! My Guard" Teaser cover

The romance drama “Oh! My Guard” has unveiled its third teaser, and it sets up a deliciously absurd premise: an A-list actor who absolutely refuses to film kissing scenes, and a mysterious woman who will risk her life to protect him.

The teaser introduces Uhm Tae Bong, played by CNBLUE’s Jung Yong Hwa, a top star who stops filming the instant a kissing scene comes up, firmly insisting that “kissing scenes are absolutely out of the question.” Ironically, his reputation as a “romance master who never films kissing scenes” is exactly what made him a star.

Enter Oh Hae Ra, played by Hong Seung Hee. According to the October 14 write-up, she firmly believes she is Cha Hong Doo, the female lead of his first starring drama, “The Crown Prince’s Bodyguard,” and volunteers to become his secret bodyguard after discovering his fatal secret.

“I’d even risk my life to protect you,” she declares, before boldly confessing, “I really like you!” Uhm Tae Bong, caught off guard, eventually admits, “I honestly don’t know why I’m acting like this either.”

The production team explained that the story begins when Oh Hae Ra, who comes to believe she is the protagonist of her all-time favorite drama following an accident, barges into his life. “The drama brings to life the audacious fantasy of ‘What if I became the female lead of a drama and met the male lead I had only ever watched on screen in real life?’” they added.

“Oh! My Guard” will premiere on October 24 at 10:50 p.m. KST on Lifetime.
