A2O LITE's Aijing Caught up in Parents' Wage Arrears Allegations Days After Debut cover

A2O LITE’s Aijing, the main dancer who drew attention at the debut showcase for her dancing and a vibe reminiscent of a young BoA, is facing controversy — reports from China allege her parents’ education company failed to pay wages to former employees.

According to Sports Kyunghyang, the allegations surfaced on October 13, a day after A2O LITE’s debut showcase with A2O SOUL at KINTEX in Goyang. Chinese outlets Dahe News and Cover News reported that former staff of the Beijing-based company, whose legal representative is Aijing’s mother, claimed they were not paid.

The former employees said the company had not paid salaries on time since 2024. After labor arbitration, both sides agreed the unpaid wages would be settled in installments, but the company reportedly stopped paying after three months. Dahe News also confirmed via corporate database Tianyancha that two additional court enforcement cases were filed against the company. Enforcement targets include Aijing’s parents and total 3.45 million yuan (about 690 million KRW), though it is unclear whether the whole sum relates to wage arrears.

The outlet also reported the company and Aijing’s mother had previously faced restrictions on high-value spending.

No official statement was available at the time of reporting.

Aijing, born in 2013 in China, is the youngest member and main dancer of A2O LITE, the rookie girl group introduced by producer Lee Soo-man. The group released its debut single “NEON” on October 13.

The dispute has clouded what was meant to be a celebratory debut week.
