Jung Yeop's Cosmic Chips Drops Second Studio Album 'TASTE' with 8 Tracks cover

Cosmic Chips, the band fronted by Brown Eyed Soul’s Jung Yeop, is back with its second studio album ‘TASTE’, dropping October 14 at 6 p.m. KST. The release marks the band’s first full-length album in about one year and two months.

According to Ten Asia, the album will be available across online music platforms, and its eight tracks were built around the members’ own musical tastes.

The title track ‘BABY BABE’ leans into early-1970s soul, pairing vibraphone, sitar, and drums with Jung Yeop’s smooth vocals in an arrangement reminiscent of Marvin Gaye. The rest of the tracklist includes ‘ON Your DIAL’, ‘Lonely, Lovely’, ‘A shadow of Love’, ‘Radio kid’, ‘볼륨을 높여’, ‘우리의 밤’, and ‘Something Good’.

Cosmic Chips is credited across all eight tracks, with the members directly involved in the album’s production.

The band, led by Jung Yeop of Brown Eyed Soul, has built its sound on 1970s and 80s soul, funk, and disco.

No official statement beyond the release details was available. ‘TASTE’ arrives at 6 p.m. today, and fans will get their first full listen tonight.
