A2O SOUL Announces Debut Album 'SUPERSTAR' with Lee Soo-man Overseeing Music Direction cover

A2O SOUL is moving fast. The 15-member boy group produced by Lee Soo-man will release its first album, ‘SUPERSTAR,’ on November 9 at 6 p.m. KST, TenAsia reported on Wednesday.

The rookie group debuted on October 13 with the pre-release single ‘SUPERSTAR,’ and the new album arrives just about four weeks later. The five-track record includes the pre-release single and a second title track, ‘Dancing in the Dark.’

A2O SOUL will present what the agency calls ‘NEW SYNTHWAVE’ — music built around synthesizer-driven sounds. Lee Soo-man personally oversaw the album’s musical direction.

The pre-release ‘SUPERSTAR’ already pulled in notable numbers: it reached No. 2 on QQ Music’s new songs chart in China and No. 6 on its popular songs chart, while its music video hit No. 4 on the platform’s global MV chart. It also landed at No. 18 on YouTube’s trending music ranking.

The production lineup behind the pre-release single included Yoo Young-jin, HAAN — who worked on The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber’s ‘STAY’ — and GENT!, who has collaborated with Drake and Doja Cat.

No official statement beyond the announcement was available. The full album drops November 9.
