Actor Ahn Jae-hyun got unexpectedly emotional during an ordinary day out. The star teared up at the sunset during his first-ever visit to Yeouido Hangang Park, admitting a life of work left him little room to enjoy simple pleasures.
On October 12, his personal YouTube channel posted a video titled “Went all the way with day drinking and a hoe picnic by the Han River.” He packed hoe and shrimp from Noryangjin Fish Market and headed to the park to try the trendy “hoe-cnic” - raw fish enjoyed outdoors.
According to Sports Donga’s report, the self-described Ttukseom native was stunned by the skyline, saying, “It looks like a future city.” He had only ever gone to the area for broadcast stations.
When staff noted that fame must have left many experiences out of reach, Ahn answered, “I debuted too early. But I think it’s better that way.” Moments later he grew quiet: “Why do I feel like crying. The sunset is so pretty.”
He added, “I started living alone really early and started working really early, so this kind of culture feels so unfamiliar to me,” before admitting, “I have nothing to do other than filming.”
Ahn debuted as a model in 2009 and appeared in My Love from the Star, You’re All Surrounded, Cinderella and Four Knights, and The Real Has Come! Recently he has shared his everyday life with fans through variety shows and YouTube.
