Former Wonder Girls member Ahn So-hee has revealed her unconventional hair care routine: she doesn’t use hair treatments at all, instead slathering a rich facial cream onto her hair.
The revelation came in a new vlog on her YouTube channel, “So-hee’s sauna vlog,” published on October 16. In the video, Ahn shops for bath products at Namdaemun Market before heading to a Finnish-style sauna.
Asked about her hair care, the singer-turned-actress was candid. “I get asked how I care for my hair a lot, but I don’t think I’ve ever introduced it,” she said. “Actually, I don’t use a separate treatment.”
The reason is her sensitive skin. “My skin has gotten really sensitive lately, so no matter what treatment I use, I break out. I still haven’t found one that works for me,” she admitted.
Instead, she uses a rich facial nutrition cream. “I have this very rich nutrition cream. It’s for the face, but I apply it generously to my hair,” she explained, letting it absorb while in the sauna or while washing her face.
She also keeps her routine minimalist: shampoo only, brushing her scalp and hair before shampooing, and using separate brushes before and after. She even asked viewers for help: “If there’s a treatment that doesn’t cause breakouts, please share it.”
Ahn debuted with Wonder Girls in 2007 and has since built an acting career, appearing in “Train to Busan,” “A Single Rider,” and “Missing: The Other Side”.
