BESTie Announces Full-Group Reunion, Riding 'Love Options' Viral Chart Comeback cover

Girl group BESTie is reuniting. On October 17, Korean outlet edaily reported, citing music industry sources, that all four members — Hyeyeon, Uji, Dahye, and Haeryung — recently decided to resume activities as a complete group.

The catalyst is the viral chart reversal of “Love Options,” the group’s debut-year single from 2013. Old performance clips of the song started circulating on social media and online communities, sparking the comeback run.

The numbers behind the resurgence are real. “Love Options” entered the Melon TOP100 and climbed to No. 12 on YouTube Music’s Korea Top 100. On the global music search platform Shazam, the track topped the charts in Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand. In the first week of October, it also reached No. 9 on Japan’s Oricon weekly YouTube Shorts chart, extending the reversal overseas.

BESTie debuted in 2013 with songs including “Pit-a-Pat,” “Love Options,” “Thank U Very Much,” “Hot Baby,” and “Excuse Me.” Group activities came to a halt from 2018, when the members began walking their own separate paths.

No official statement from the group or an agency was available at the time of reporting; the news comes from industry sourcing reported by edaily.

The group is expected to announce concrete activity plans and a schedule at a later date.
