Girls’ Generation’s Yuri sidestepped questions about her own marriage plans on a variety show, giving a playful “you never know” answer following bandmate Tiffany Young’s marriage earlier this year.
The remarks came in a preview video for episode 5 of tvN Joy’s “Sixth Sense: B Side,” posted to the channel’s official YouTube on October 17, Star News reported.
Riding in a car with castmates to Insadong in Seoul’s Jongno District for a mission, Yuri said she had recently gotten a tarot reading there covering love, marriage and her future. “They said something might be coming, but nothing right now,” she told the group, drawing laughs — including a joke from Ko Kyung-pyo.
When Yoo Jae-suk pressed her — “Are you suddenly getting married or something?” — Yuri answered calmly: “Who knows? You never know in life.” Hong Hyun-hee chimed in, noting, “Since Tiffany got married — when one goes, another goes,” teasing Girls’ Generation’s possible next married member.
Yuri also shared her wedding fantasy: asked where she would hold a ceremony, she said she would do it in nature. Yoo Jae-suk advised her to pick cooler weather for an outdoor wedding, and Yuri quipped she would match it to his favorite weather.
Tiffany Young registered her marriage with actor Byun Yo-han earlier this year without a separate ceremony. No official statement about Yuri’s plans was available — and on the show, the exchange played as banter, not an announcement.
