Hwang Bo-ra Bursts into Tears Seeing Parents' Longevity Portraits: 'They've Aged So Much' cover

Actress Hwang Bo-ra broke down in tears after seeing her parents’ longevity portraits, overwhelmed by how much they had aged.

The emotional moment was shared in a video published October 13 on her YouTube channel ‘Hwang Bo-ra Variety.’ According to the News1 report, she took her parents — exhausted from looking after their grandchildren — on a filial piety date to Changgyeonggung Palace, where the family joined a night banquet event reinterpreting the filial feast Crown Prince Hyomyeong once held for King Sunjo.

Dressed in hanbok, the family enjoyed the evening’s programs, and afterward Hwang Bo-ra was handed her parents’ longevity portraits — keepsake photos traditionally taken while one is still alive. Looking at the aged faces in the portraits, she cried, saying, “They’ve gotten so old all of a sudden. They weren’t like this before. I’m upset — I shouldn’t have taken it.”

The actress married Kim Young-hoon, CEO of Walkhouse Company, in 2022. He is the second son of veteran actor Kim Yong-gun and the younger brother of actor Ha Jung-woo, and the couple has a son, Woo-in.

No official statement was available. The video continues her warm-hearted family vlog series, which has become a staple of her channel.
