Noel vocalist Kang Kyun-sung is opening up about the long road to his upcoming wedding.
According to Xports News, the singer will appear on MBC’s “Radio Star,” airing October 14 at 10:30 PM KST, to share the behind-the-scenes story of his romance with actress Yoo Ha-jin, who is 14 years his junior. Their connection reportedly stretches back nine years.
Kang is set to reveal that the two first met nine years ago and shared meals several times, but drifted apart, both conscious of the 14-year age gap. For nine years they only kept tabs on each other through social media. That changed in February this year, when an acquaintance tried to set Kang up with someone — who turned out to be Yoo Ha-jin herself. Dating quickly turned serious, and the couple decided to marry.
Old social media traces have resurfaced: on July 14, 2019, Yoo posted a photo that Kang “liked,” and he has kept liking her posts over the years.
Kang announced the wedding in a handwritten letter on August 3, revealing an October 30 ceremony. A day later, his agency S27M Entertainment confirmed the bride-to-be was Yoo Ha-jin, a former girl group trainee who appeared in the MBC drama “Spring Night” and several commercials.
What Kang says on tonight’s broadcast is already drawing keen interest from fans.
