Kim Pil Pre-Releases 'Circle' Ahead of 'JOURNEY,' His First Full Album in Seven Years cover

South Korean singer-songwriter Kim Pil has pre-released “Circle,” the second advance single from his upcoming second full-length album “JOURNEY.”

Sports Kyunghyang reported that the track was released on October 23 at 6 p.m. KST through major Korean music streaming sites, continuing the rollout ahead of the full album’s October 29 release.

“Circle” is a confessional ballad about finally facing and accepting oneself amid life’s inevitable changes. Kim Pil, who wrote and composed the song himself, frames life as a circle where sorrow and joy, beginnings and endings keep turning — and offers comfort to listeners that they are enough as they are.

The track opens with a calm, restrained vocal before building toward a dramatic full-band sound, its wave-like chorus and swelling arrangement delivering what the outlet described as a radiant sense of liberation and catharsis. Ahead of the release, Kim Pil also unveiled a mood film for “JOURNEY” on social media, depicting the sky’s cycles as a mirror of life itself.

“JOURNEY” arrives on October 29 at 6 p.m. KST, marking his first full album in about seven years since December 2019’s “yours, sincerely.”

No official statement was available beyond the release announcement. Kim Pil will follow the album with the “2026 Kim Pil Concert ” on November 14-15 at Seoul’s Blue Square WON Banking Hall, where he is expected to perform career hits alongside the new material.
