BLACKPINK’s LISA has officially released her first solo EP ‘Press Play,’ along with the music video for its title track ‘Tarantino.’ The six-track project arrived at midnight KST on October 23 through LLOUD and RCA Records, as reported by Sports World via Naver.
The EP packs ‘Tarantino’ alongside ‘SaWaDiKa,’ ‘V12,’ ‘Cobra,’ ‘Cut U Off,’ and ‘Sweat,’ and is built like a single film — listeners can start it up and press play straight through, exactly as the title suggests.
The ‘Tarantino’ video turns that concept literal. It follows LISA through a hotel on a mission to deliver a letter to her favorite director, Quentin Tarantino, and she fights off anyone standing in her path with fearless action scenes.
Ahead of the release, LISA hosted a ‘Press Play’ Seoul listening party in Seongsu-dong on October 22, staged with a vintage Hollywood theater concept, where fans heard every song on the EP before it dropped.
‘Tarantino’ follows a string of records set by pre-release single ‘SaWaDiKa,’ whose Bangkok-filmed video passed 70.8 million YouTube views within its first 24 hours — a personal best for LISA and the top YouTube debut figure of 2026. The song also entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No. 69, her highest solo debut on the chart.
LISA performed ‘SaWaDiKa’ at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, where she also won Best Pop for ‘Dream’ — the first solo K-pop artist to take the category. Her documentary ‘Always Lalisa’ premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and has since opened in theaters.
No official statement was available. LISA is set to continue promotions around ‘Press Play’ worldwide.
