Actor Kim Seung-ho has confirmed his casting in TVING’s first original sitcom “Gungjeon Land,” joining the ensemble as Kwak Do-hyun, his agency Gold Medalist announced on October 15.
According to Korean outlets including YTN Star and Newspim, the casting news follows Kim’s recent turn in the Disney+ and Channel A drama “Dive to You,” where he played Pyo Kyung-woo of the Haesol High judo team and won notice for his bright, easygoing charm.
Set for release in early 2027, “Gungjeon Land” is directed by Yu Hak-chan and written by Lee Sol, with Studio Dragon handling planning and production. The sitcom follows the part-timers working behind a glittering amusement park, contrasting the fantasy of the park with the scrappy reality of the young workers keeping it running.
Kim joins a cast led by former figure skater Cha Jun-hwan as rookie cast member Seong Dae-han, alongside Woo Da-bi, Lee Jae-won, Kim Gyu-won, Minseo, Nancy, Lee Nam-soo, Ahn Joo-mi, and Park So-jin.
“I’m truly happy and excited to be part of such a good project,” Kim said through his agency. “Since I’ve prepared hard, I want to greet viewers in the best possible way.”
With back-to-back casting announcements, the rising actor is steadily building his filmography, and “Gungjeon Land” is expected to premiere on TVING in early 2027.
