FLARE U Returns with Second Mini Album 'LOVEHOOD' and Title Track 'Bloom'

FLARE U has returned with their second mini album ‘LOVEHOOD,’ released on October 14 at 6 PM KST. The six-track project marks the FNC Entertainment duo’s first comeback since debuting in May with ‘YOUTH ERROR.’

The release arrived alongside the music video for the title track “Bloom,” shared through the group’s official YouTube channel. News of the drop surfaced on r/kpop, where the release announcement quickly drew attention from fans tracking the rookie duo’s first comeback.

‘LOVEHOOD’ contains six songs: “Bloom,” “Hundred Nights,” “False Alarm,” “Madly in Love,” “Window View,” and “Never Ever.” The album continues the coming-of-age story FLARE U began with their debut, this time following a boy experiencing love for the first time. Title track “Bloom” is a warm, retro-inspired synth-pop song that uses changing seasons as a metaphor for the shifting emotions of falling in love. An hour before the release, the duo previewed the new material live at a busking performance at Everland’s Rose Garden in Yongin.

The duo consists of Chuei Li Yu and Kang Woojin, both of whom previously competed on Mnet’s ‘Boys II Planet.’ Ahead of the comeback, the members told K-POPIT they paid closer attention to delivering emotion over technique this time around, with Chuei describing the new album as “a little more mature” and carrying “a wistful feeling that fits the season.”

With the album now out, FLARE U is expected to kick off music show promotions for “Bloom” in the coming days.
