Lee Hyori has revealed that Fin.K.L is deep in rehearsals for the legendary first-generation girl group’s first full-group activities in 21 years.
The singer appeared as a special guest on the October 20 broadcast of MBC FM4U’s “A Perfect Day with Lee Sang-soon,” the radio show hosted by her husband Lee Sang-soon, where she gave fans an update on the long-awaited reunion, according to a MyDaily report.
Hyori said she has been juggling daily yoga classes at the yoga studio she runs in Seoul with Fin.K.L rehearsals, keeping her moving from 5 a.m. through the afternoon without a break.
She admitted the reunion felt daunting at first. “We had spent time apart, and each of us did our own music activities. Jin is in the U.S. and has left the entertainment industry entirely, and while I stayed active, it has really been a long time since I sang and danced,” she said. “I worried it would feel awkward and hard, but once the four of us gathered, I went straight back to being twenty.”
Hyori also joked that her eyesight is failing, saying she has been borrowing Sang-soon’s reading glasses and is worried she won’t be able to see the teleprompter at the Fin.K.L concert. “I need to ask them to make it really big in advance,” she quipped.
Fin.K.L last promoted together more than two decades ago, making the upcoming full-group activities one of the most anticipated first-generation K-pop reunions in recent years.
