Lee Seung Gi has given fans a rare glimpse of his family life, sharing a video of his 31-month-old daughter singing — plus the story of how she grabbed a microphone at her first-birthday celebration.
Sports Kyunghyang reported October 15 that the singer-actor uploaded the video, titled “한번 뭉칠래요?” (“Want to get together?”), to his personal YouTube channel “이승기2” the same day.
In the clip, the toddler — her hair in neat pigtails — sits on a chair holding a toy horn, singing in a small but clear voice with surprising dynamic control. Off camera, the gentle voice of his wife, actress Lee Da In, can be heard as the family of three shares the cozy moment.
Lee Seung Gi also recalled his daughter’s doljabi, the traditional ritual where a one-year-old picks an object to foretell their future. “난 진짜 우리 딸이 마이크를 잡게 하고 싶지 않아서 마이크를 숨겨놨었다” (“I really didn’t want my daughter to grab the microphone, so I hid it”), he admitted — but she scanned the table and picked it up anyway: “그냥 쓱 훑더니 그걸 잡더라” (“She just glanced over and grabbed it”). Asked whether it was because dad is always holding a microphone, he shook his head and said he didn’t know, drawing laughter.
