Actress Park Ha-sun will step down as the DJ of SBS Power FM’s film music program “Cine Town” in early November.
According to News1 reporting on October 14, Park decided with the show’s producers to leave the DJ seat so she can focus on her acting career. She took over the microphone in November 2020, making her run about six years.
Over that time, Park balanced shooting, stage, and variety schedules while sharing everyday life with listeners under the affectionate nickname “Candy.” Her calm and stable hosting earned her steady love from the audience.
“Cine Town,” the show she is leaving, is a movie-music specialty program that has been on air since 1999, broadcasting daily from 11 a.m. to noon.
Park debuted in the 2005 SBS drama and rose to fame through MBC’s “High Kick!” before building a wide-ranging career in dramas such as “Two Weeks,” “Three Days,” “Drinking Solo,” and “The Black Sun.” Last year she also took to the stage for the theater production “Our Little Sister,” followed by “Hongdo” this past April.
She married actor Ryu Soo-young in 2017, and they have one daughter. The departure leaves fans waiting to see what her next acting project will be.
