According to the original reporting by MBC Entertainment News, Yuju participated in the lyrics and composition of every track on the album, packing her singer-songwriter abilities into one record. She also directed all vocal recording herself, with no separate vocal director, studying the vocal expression best suited to each song.
The album carries six tracks in total, spanning multiple genres while holding a single emotional thread: the title track ‘Mije,’ plus ‘그 뒤가 얼마나 무서울지 모른 채,’ ‘Love Gamer,’ ‘SOS,’ ‘Rock Bottom,’ and â€˜ì¶”ì‹ .’ The album name ‘file. 07’ carries special meaning — for the first time, Yuju labels her songs as ‘files’ instead of ‘tracks,’ treating each one like the record of an unsolved case she could never close.
Yuju explained that unnamed, unfinished emotions tend to linger longer and feel heavier than resolved ones, which is why she chose ‘unfinished emotions’ as the album’s center. She picked ‘Mije’ as the title track after noticing people naturally humming it when she played the recordings around them, taking that as a sign it would stick with listeners.
