RIIZE Launches 'Insomnia' Sheep Game Ahead of October 26 Digital Single Release cover

RIIZE has turned its official website into a playful countdown for its next release: the band’s riizeofficial.com now greets visitors as the “INSOMNIA SHEEP GAME,” a sheep-counting promo tied to its new digital single “Insomnia,” which arrives October 26 at midnight KST.

The game site opened today, and an r/kpop thread quickly flagged the launch as “Insomnia Sheep Game Open.” The mini-site leans fully into its title — counting sheep at midnight — matching the sleepless mood of the single itself.

“Insomnia” was announced October 19 at midnight KST, exactly one week before release, and marks RIIZE’s first attempt at acoustic pop. The track pushes the six members’ vocals ahead of the high-energy performances the group is known for. Both the song and its music video drop October 26 at midnight KST, with the video premiering on SM Entertainment’s SMTOWN YouTube channel and the audio landing on major streaming platforms including Melon, Spotify, and Apple Music.

Veteran songwriter Kim Eana — whose credits include IU’s “Good Day” and IVE’s “I Am” — wrote the lyrics. According to SM Entertainment, the song centers on “sleepless nights and lingering thoughts of someone that become more vivid as the night deepens,” set against a subdued, melancholic arrangement.

“Insomnia” also serves as the prerelease single for RIIZE’s second full-length album “EMOTIION,” scheduled for spring 2027. The release follows the group’s June EP, led by “Do Your Dance,” which became its fourth million-selling release.
