Santos Bravos and &TEAM Team up for 'Origami' Pre-Release Single Ahead of November 20 Comeback cover

Santos Bravos are joining forces with &TEAM once again. The HYBE Latin America boy band will release “Origami” on November 20 as the pre-release single for their second EP, with HYBE Japan’s &TEAM taking part in the music, according to a report from Dispatch carried by Naver’s entertainment wire.

The group announced the release on October 29, local time, through its social media accounts and Weverse. The announcement frames the song as a cross-border collaboration within HYBE, bringing together a Latin pop act and a Japanese group under the same company umbrella for a shared release.

The two groups have worked together before. In February, they released a remix of “Kawasaki,” Santos Bravos’ track reworked with &TEAM, giving the two acts an existing musical relationship to build on. The new single extends that partnership rather than starting it from scratch.

According to Dispatch, “Origami” pairs a Latin urban sound and Brazilian rhythmic colour with a club dance groove and powerful vocals, while taking a more mature and emotional turn than the group’s earlier work. The title draws on the Japanese art of paper folding, and the song’s themes are roots, gratitude and resilience.

The lyrics trace a process of growing and changing without losing the foundations that made the singer who they are. Each crease made while folding paper stands for a life experience, a relationship or a lesson learned, and at the centre of the song sits gratitude toward family, friends and community. The message, as described in the report, is one of building a future on the support of the people who have always stood by the group.

The release is also the group’s first anniversary comeback. Santos Bravos debuted in October 2025 under HYBE Latin America, and The Korea Herald reported on October 23 that the November 20 release would mark the group’s first anniversary, following a teaser image showing the silhouette of a hand reaching toward an origami crane. The Herald also noted that the new release would be the group’s first independent release since its first EP “Dual,” released in March.

That first EP gives the comeback a chart story to live up to. Dispatch reports that “Dual” reached No. 17 on Billboard’s Top Latin Pop Albums chart, and that Billboard has singled the group out as one of the Latin pop acts to watch. Over the past year, the group’s cumulative streams across major platforms have passed 250 million, according to the same report, a steady climb for an act still in its first year.

The group itself reflects HYBE Latin America’s multi-market ambitions. Santos Bravos are a five-member group made up of Drew from the United States, Kaue from Brazil, Alejandro from Peru, Kenneth from Mexico and Gabi from Puerto Rico. The Korea Herald reported that the group made its debut on October 22, 2025, before an audience of around 10,000 at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City, and has since performed at major Latin American festivals including Estereo Picnic in Colombia, Tecate Pa’l Norte in Mexico and the Empire Music Festival in Guatemala.

The comeback also follows a high-profile collaboration earlier this month. The Herald noted that the November release will be the group’s first since the collaborative single “Ooh Laka Laka La” with Latin pop star Enrique Iglesias, and that Santos Bravos have previously worked on remixes with other HYBE acts including Enhypen, Le Sserafim, BoyNextDoor and Illit. The &TEAM collaboration therefore sits inside a wider pattern of HYBE artists crossing over between the company’s regional rosters.

Looking ahead, the group already has major stages booked. Dispatch reports that Santos Bravos plan to perform at Lollapalooza South America 2027 in March, with dates across Chile, Argentina and Brazil, widening their global reach beyond the comeback itself. The Herald likewise lists the Lollapalooza South America dates, in Argentina, Chile and Brazil next March, alongside a performance at the Billboard Latin Music Awards.

No further details about the second EP itself, including its full track list or release date, were available at the time of writing. For now, the confirmed facts are the song, the collaborator and the date: “Origami,” with &TEAM, on November 20, as the first taste of Santos Bravos’ second EP.
