Sechs Kies Dinner Show Organizer Denies 900,000-Won Ticket Price Claims, Admits AI Poster

Sechs Kies Dinner Show Organizer Denies 900,000-Won Ticket Price Claims, Admits AI Poster cover

The organizer behind Sechs Kies members Ko Ji-yong, Jang Su-won, and Lee Jae-jin’s year-end dinner show has pushed back against reports that tickets cost as much as nearly 900,000 won, saying the figures circulating online were hotel room rates, not admission prices.

Mountain Movement Story, the company staging the event, said on November 2 that the amounts quoted in some reports as ticket prices were examples of room rates at the Inspire hotel. According to the organizer, as reported by Ilgan Sports, the figures of 454,000 won, 568,400 won, and 898,400 won that appeared in the event’s promotional image reflected different room types, and the original image had separately indicated that they were hotel room rates.

“Judgment on the event price is up to the audience and consumers, but hotel room rates and performance ticket prices must be distinguished,” the organizer said, correcting what it described as misreported information. The actual performance ticket price has not yet been disclosed, leaving the core question for fans unanswered even as the organizer disputes the viral figures.

The pricing row is not the only controversy around the event. The organizer also acknowledged that the images of the three members used on the promotional poster were created with artificial intelligence. A new poster will be released on November 13, following an official photo shoot on November 12, the organizer said.

The event, titled “THE TREE in INSPIRE - Sechs Kies’ Untold Story,” is scheduled for December 15 and 16 at Inspire Resort on Yeongjong Island, Incheon. It is staged as a dinner show combining a hotel stay, meals, a performance, and a talk show, and is being held ahead of Sechs Kies’ 30th debut anniversary next year.

The three-member lineup is itself a major talking point. Ko Ji-yong left the entertainment industry for business after Sechs Kies disbanded in 2000, and although he reunited with the members through MBC’s “Infinite Challenge” in 2016, he did not resume group activities afterward. Eun Ji-won and Kim Jae-duck are not taking part in the December shows, making the event a three-member gathering rather than a full-group reunion.

With the ticket price still undisclosed and a replacement poster due on November 13, fans waiting for the December shows will be watching both announcements closely. No official statement was available on when ticket pricing will be revealed.
