BIGHIT MUSIC issued an official statement on October 22, warning it will take firm legal action — with no settlement or leniency — against anyone spreading false information and malicious rumors about TXT.
The notice was posted on TXT’s community page on the fan platform Weverse. According to the agency, false information and malicious rumors targeting the group have been spreading indiscriminately across social media and online communities, and it has been taking internal measures in response.
BIGHIT MUSIC said it had deliberately stayed silent to avoid amplifying rumors through official channels. However, malicious posts aimed at defaming the artists ahead of their comeback had reached a serious level, prompting additional measures. The agency added that it is collecting evidence across domestic and international platforms and responding strictly on all channels.
The statement read: “Posting and spreading malicious content is a criminal act that gravely violates the artist’s rights and damages their reputation. We reiterate that we will take firm legal action against those responsible, with no settlement or leniency.”
Fans were asked to report malicious posts through the HYBE Artist Rights Violation Report System. BIGHIT MUSIC said it will maintain a zero-tolerance policy toward any unlawful act infringing on its artists’ rights.
The agency named no specific member or allegation. TXT are set to release their ninth mini album, “PERFECT STORM,” on November 16, and will open the world tour “Steal the Wind” in Seoul from November 13 to 15.
