Boy band V01D dropped a 45-second teaser for B-side track “My Youth” at midnight on October 16 KST, three days before their second mini album “YOUTHQUAKE” arrives.
Star News reported the teaser landed on the group’s official channels on October 16, building anticipation for the October 19 release.
All five members appear in the clip: leader Song Yoo-chan on drums, Shinnosuke on bass, Kevin Park on keyboard and vocals, Jung Ji-seop on guitar and vocals, and Jo Joo-yeon as main vocalist. It opens with the members living out exhausting everyday routines — a convenience store part-timer, a construction site safety officer, a restaurant cleaner — before the mood flips to scenes of them in school uniforms, running free across an open field and a rooftop, performing with explosive energy.
The teaser spotlights the song’s lyrics: “They say it’s your problem / But I don’t wanna do that anymore” — a declaration of living on one’s own terms. According to the report, “My Youth” carries a message of staying true to oneself and living out one’s own youth despite the judgment of others and real-world worries, pairing addictive vocals with a refreshing yet weighty band sound.
The album title “YOUTHQUAKE” combines “Youth” and “Quake,” reflecting the massive movement youth can create. The record frames the trembling of anxiety and wandering as momentum, turning that shaking into forward power across its tracks.
“YOUTHQUAKE” arrives on October 19, with “My Youth” shaping up as one of the mini album’s key cuts.
